General hints
* Make sure you always have enough FOOD, HEAL and ANTIDOTE.
* The higher your MINDFORCE, the easier you get things, also when you raise a level.
When your MINDFORCE is lower than 65 slay some enemies first to raise it.
* Never buy too heavy items, watch your weight.
* When gaining enough EXPERIENCE, enter the HOLY SHRINE as soon as possible.
* To get endless LIGHT in caves, get the LAMP and (SUPER) OIL.
Burn the oil until you have A FEW OIL. Immediately enter an INN, stay and do GAME END.
Start again and you have infinite light as long as you do nothing with the LAMP.
* The game is an ongoing story, at some points you'll have to grind your level.
Also buy stronger equipment often (which you can carry).
* When the items get too heavy, use the GOLD EXCHANGER to exchange gold.
Solution
You start in front of WOOD TOWN. The first thing to do is to buy FOOD there, else you'll starve.
Destroy some JELLY and MANTRAP to get a little more experience.
To destroy the MANTRAPS best approach them in a zig-zag manner from below to dodge the projectiles.
Head up as far as possible and rob the chest from its contents (with LOOK HERE) to get a GOLD EXCHANGER.
The UNDERGROUND TOWN is below the cemetary, enter it by walking up against one of the 2 crosses standing next to eachother.
When your level is high enough you can enter the cave in this town.
The entrance is in the chest at the upper left, when doing 2x LOOK HERE.
In the cave is, amongst others, MAGIC ARMOR, AMULET OF DM., SILVER ARMOR and the not necessary FANG OF DRAGON, at the dragon.
You don't have to kill the dragon but if you want to you need the LITTLE BOW or SPEAR.
Wait for one of its heads; if it comes forward quickly strike it and run away to avoid the flame. Destroy the heads one by one.
The FANG OF DRAGON is to be given to the king in the WATER CASTLE.
To get to this castle, enter the tower. On the 6th floor, in one of the cross-shaped objects there is an ELEVATOR SWITCH.
Turn the elevator on, enter it and head for the 176th floor.
Stand behind the stairs upwards, do LOOK HERE and go up as far as possible.
On one of the floors here is a window with a cloud. Walk upon the cloud to enter SKY TOWN.
Look for the little store to buy the CROSS OF GOD and STONE OF FIGHTER.
In the MAGICIANS HOUSE you can trade experience for spells.
Now enter the SKY CASTLE. Put the STONE OF CLOUD on USE and enter the big hole in the middle.
You are in front of the WATER CASTLE. Enter it and find the ID CARD in the RECEPTION ROOM and some items in the KING'S TREASURY.
Give the FANG OF DRAGON to the king or wait until it's dark to plunder the treasure room.
Leave and go to the great lake. At the point where the pieces of stone are sticking from the water, use JIM'S SCROLL in the centre.
This castle is very dangerous if your level is not high enough.
On the 2nd floor you'll find a POWER REACTOR, but for this you're required to have a number of lasers that cost a lot of energy.
The shortest way is: from the TELEPORT, head 2 screens to the left, then most upper left as possible.
On this floor, at the northwest there is also a SPACE SUIT, which you need.
There's also a SPACE COMPASS, a BUGLE and a computer giving information about a SPACESHIP when you do LOOK HERE.
Now leave the castle. TRANSFER comes in handy.
Go to the cracks in the ground, put on the SPACE SUIT (with USE) and enter one of the cracks big enough to step in.
Find the SPACESHIP with the SPACE COMPASS and search it completely to find the GREAT BOW, BUGLE, FAIRY HELMET and a computer message.
With the message, you can find the aforementioned AMULET OF DM. in the CAVE OF DEAD (dragon cave).
Now you can go to the MYSTERY DIMENSION. Use the BUGLE at the graves and you get to FANTASY TOWN, where you can buy the HOLY WATER.
You can use that in WOOD TOWN (start) at the SEAL, which is being well guarded.
Now you are in the SPLASH CAVE, where you have to look for HOLY RAYS.
The chests contain FIRE SWORD, FAIRY ARMOR and IDOL OF VARALYS.
The IDOL OF VARALYS is behind a door which can only be opened if you found 10 HOLY RAYS.
Go back to FANTASY TOWN and get the AMULET OF EXIT from one of the prisoners in the JAIL.
Buy enough FOOD and head outside. Search for the loose stone (DOOR OF TIME) and enter it.
You can do this by using the IDOL OF VARALYS here when it's dark.
In this castle, you'll find the following items:
1st floor, in a chest the FAIRY SHIELD
3rd floor, at the lower left the FAIRY (LOOK HERE)
4th floor, in a chest the TOOL OF CAMP
5th floor, GAYZAC COMMANDER OF DARKNESS, whom you can make visible if you have the FAIRY
Walk into the mouth of GAYZAC, let him swallow you and go wild with your FIRE SWORD.
GAYZAC will spit you out and you can enjoy the enddemo.
When you start again, the bank in WOOD TOWN will be open and you can listen to the game soundtrack.
